Everton are preparing for Saturday evening's game against Stoke City when they will hope to close the gap on fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
And Anichebe hopes the Blues can be boosted by a rediscovered feel-good factor after defeating Manchester City before the international break.
The win over the defending champions was the perfect response to the disappointing FA Cup elimination by Wigan Athletic.
Anichebe said: "That shows the kind of team Everton are.
"We always respond after a down and come back strong.
"Winning that game was big for us. The fans were really happy and we were happy ourselves. It showed we have got the belief back.
"Now, we can finish the season as high as possible."
