It is a little late to have found that spark, but the Blues are still chasing two trophies and a top-four finish in the Premier League.
They displayed commendable fighting spirit to haul themselves level at Old Trafford on Sunday, as the Red Devils had established an early 2-0 lead in an FA Cup quarter-final clash.
A battling draw has done little to ease the pressure on interim coach Rafa Benitez, with Chelsea supporters still very much on his case, but Cech feels one positive result could be enough to inspire an end of season flourish.
"Given how the match went, this almost feels like a win," Cech posted on his personal website.
"I think we marked the club's (founding) anniversary in style. It was a really huge match to mark this important day and we are glad that we are still in the competition and in with a chance to win the trophy.
"After the half-time break we played very well and deserved to make it 2-2. Our substitutes had a great impact on the game, particularly Eden Hazard, who played fantastically.
"Eventually we even had a chance to win the game, but even though we couldn't take it we can still be satisfied. To be 2-0 down at United and make it 2-2 in the end is a success.
"We are still in the game and I believe that the second half performance will kick-start us."
